Generally speaking, militaria covers every type of military collectable. Militaria Magazine itself focuses on the soldiers of both world wars. Thanks to its popular format, layout and full color photography, Militaria Magazine is able to describe the troops (Army, Navy and Air Forces) in great detail. Militaria Magazine includes many close up shots of uniforms, equipment, insignia, and small kit. Articles also deal with such areas as personal papers, badges, headgear, knives, or AFV's, thus reflecting the main interests of the readers. From time to time special issues focus on a popular topic. In the past these have covered the French Infantrymen of WW1 and WW2, soldiers of D-Day, American, British and Canadian paratroops, and the Hitlerjugend Division in Normandy. The articles are expertly written by collectors, and lavishly illustrated with color photos of authentic artifacts, as well as carefully selected period pictures, in order to place each item in its historical perspective. This approach to collecting enables beginners, as well as advanced collectors, to learn more about their hobby. MM benefits from a large array of contributors from France, Belgium, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, Poland, The United States, Canada, Spain, and Brazil. While the main focus of the magazine is on the major powers, the uniforms of smaller, but no less important armies, have been featured in its pages. But I don't read French! Although Militaria Magazine is written in French, we boast hundreds of enthusiastic subscribers around the globe who can't read French either. They have found that you don't need to read the text to understand the color photos. |
